My roots with gymnastics and weight training gave me an excellent knowledge of anatomy and kinesiology. I knew about yoga postures and movements in the early 1970s, but at the time I didn’t realize that there was a spiritual component to the work. When my mother made her untimely Transition in 1971, I was searching for spiritual roots and I discovered Mysticism through a Mystery School. A solid meditation practice followed. Shortly after that, I realized that yoga contained meditation. So I really came to yoga through meditation first, then the physical work. I teach yoga with strong attention to the spiritual, mental and physical work in equal portions. All of my classes end with a period of meditation. I provide my own original music to begin the meditations.
